Another year is in the books for 2025 Reading Olympics. Gregory brought 42 kids to the competition that was held April 11, 2025, at the Winner Elementary School. There were a total of 125 participants in 30 teams from the four schools that participated; Gregory, Winner, Colome, and Burke.
Gregory won the traveling trophy this year, by earning the most points overall, we are super proud of all the kids that participated. Congratulations to all of our teams on their hard work and accomplishments during the Reading Olympics season. Grades 2nd -5th each read 8 books. Grades 6th -7th grade read 6 books. Teams had to answer comprehensive questions about the books read over two 40 minute rounds. Gregory had 2 teams competing in each grade 2nd-5th and had one team in each 6th & 7th grade.

3rd grade the boy's team took 1st place & the girl’s team took 2nd place
Thank you to all the teachers, parents, and grandparents who continue to help and support the kids in their love of reading, without you this would not be possible. Everyone helped their child to conquer those very difficult books. Our hope is to have instilled the love of reading at a very young age. Continue to “Read to Succeed”!
